Socrates never wrote anything down. Diogenes lived in a barrel. Mithridates had a golden chariot. Nero burned Rome to build himself a palace. And there are thousands more of these stories we learn history from. And who really is naive?

All right, the past is too distant. But why did they give six Berber horses for Hamlet and six French swords for Laertes? Why did the oprichniks have brooms and dog heads? Why did Pushkin write fairy tales? Where in the looking glass did the forest of missing names come from? What is "Stalker" about?

We laugh at conspiracy theories, but we do not realize that reality is far more unbelievable than the most desperate fantasies.

In our project we will prove to you that the paradoxes of history, the mysteries of religions, the secrets of geniuses and the secrets of the human brain are all parts of a single puzzle. We have compiled the clues and evidence into the first part of the book “The Origin of Meaning”. The book is structured in the form of a quest. By telling the necessary facts before offering a ready-made solution, the book gives you the opportunity to break your head over the riddles yourself.
